Debi J Pruitt

Debi has a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling and a Masters Degree in Education. She is licensed in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Debi is also a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist. 

 

After years as an art teacher, then as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher, Debi retired from teaching to move from Wilmington to High Point in order to pursue Counseling full time. Debi works primarily with adults. She incorporates art therapy, and solution-based therapies into her work. As a retired educator with over 16 years in the classroom, Debi well understands the challenges of the educational system for both staff and students, as no one understands those challenges better than someone who has been there. 

 

Debi can help you set healthy boundaries and learn to balance your responsibilities with your well being. She can help you establish a  safe place to address concerns so you can thrive without anxiety and stress. In addition, Debi has a particular interest in helping trauma and stressor-related survivors, as well as people who have anxiety (Generalized Anxiety, Phobias & Panic, and Social Anxiety). As a Neurodivergent Therapist, Debi also enjoys working with individuals with Neurodevelopmental Disorders.
